There’s just two months to go now until National Bread Week returns! Back for its 5th year from 10 – 16 September 2018, this island of Ireland campaign celebrates our love affair with bread – from the iconic soda bread to the ever-popular batch loaf.

During National Bread Week an extensive PR and social media campaign will be taking place to remind people of everything that is great about bread – and encourage them to share what makes them a #BreadLover, whether it’s the evocative smell and versatility or simply the great taste.

We’re now calling all bakers from Belfast to Bray to join in with National Bread Week and share their love of bread – as well as their knowledge and expertise. Getting involved with National Bread Week is not only a great way to showcase Irish bread, but it’s also a perfect opportunity to raise the profile of your business too.Get Involved with NVW 2018Now’s the time to start planning (in fact we’ve just spent the week touring Ireland filming with some of the country’s fabulous bakers) and getting involved couldn’t be easier.

As a first step, just follow this link to download the registration form and sign up (every baker that signs up will receive free POS material to use during the week)*, then start making your plans.

To help you we’ve put together this downloadable How to get involved’ guide full of tips for maximising your involvement with National Bread Week.

Here are just a few of the ideas:

  • Create a standout window display during the week using the POS provided
  • We love to try things so why not hold tastings in your store or bakery, or if you’re feeling really creative you could even launch a new loaf to get everyone talking
  • Offer a promotion – this would be a good chance to partner up with local retailers
  • Invite a local school or group for an interactive visit

There are so many different ways to join the celebrations – so however you choose to get involved make sure you register and help us spread the love of bread! We can’t wait to hear what you all have planned!

*Please note, you must be an existing or new member of the FCBA to take part in National Bread Week. If you’re not already a member you can contact them here and they will be happy to arrange this.
