We’re delighted to announce that TV chef and author, Rachel Allen, has joined the National Bread Week team.

Rachel, who was brought up in Dublin, studied at the Ballymaloe Cookery School and is now a busy TV chef, author, journalist, mother, and teacher. She continues to work at the cookery school where she found her passion for teaching and has become known for her love of bread and baking.

Rachel will be speaking about her love of bread at the launch of National Bread Week on Monday 13th October and supporting the campaign on the website and Twitter.

Rachel has also kindly donated copies of her book which we will be giving away as part of our Celebrate Bread competition – just upload pictures of bread – your favourite loaves, recipes using breads, or even selfies enjoying Irish bread – for your chance to win.
